Fluent reading and writing at a Year One level

Having established the essential steps of

• Internal Sense of Left and Right (midline)
• Sound – Letter Link
• Letter – Sound Link
• Processing two letters as one unit

It is now time for the next steps towards independent and accurate reading.

The skills taught using the Launch Literacy Program are on display as the children are:

• Writing the words from the readers into the Activity Books
• Reading the Readers and, writing in the Activity Books, the sentences from the Readers
